As Ontario welcomes athletes from across the Americas and visitors from around the world for the Pan Am / Parapan Am Games, we are pleased to commemorate these international sporting events with the release of SHARING SPACES: TORONTO 2015 Pan Am / Parapan / Am Games: Celebrating the Regional Sports in the Americas. By bringing together diverse writers, thinkers and artists, this collection captures the connections between sport, culture, history and the human experience. Sport is woven into the fabric of how we see ourselves as global citizens, whether we are spectators of sports or engage in more active pursuits for recreation, health or the thrill of competition. Sports is, and continues to be, a way to push ourselves as individuals and also, a way to bring us together as a community and country. At universities, sport plays a key role in enhancing our student experience, building institutional pride and giving our students opportunities to develop  important skills outside of the classroom.
